The 33rd Media League Championship, 19th Annual Diane Campbell Double Elimination Showdown will take place this Friday, Saturday August 27th & 28th, 2010.

Congratulations to Deep Ballz for claiming top seed during the regular year!

I'm looking forward to seeing some good ball and wonderful prizes all while having a burger and dog discussing our victory in the beer gardens and seeing your smiling faces!

FRIDAY, DAY 1:

The afternoon started completely on the right track with the Optimist Park Field Staff providing excellent support for our tournament! Thank you ''Robert" for all your help! Ice from the zamboni kept the Sleeman's Beer chilled, cleaning supplies for the concession booth and you and your teams overall cooperation and support were second to none. THANK YOU!

Wow, what an evening! First round of games started at 6pm and 3 of 4 underdog teams were victorious! During the second round, 1 of 2 underdog teams were still on the right track. The bottom half of the schedule will prove to be a tough haul for any team as 2 of 4 top ranked teams reside in the lower half of the schedule. By noon on Saturday, 3 of the 4 top seeded teams will be in the lower half of the schedule! A dog fight it will be!

The sun continued to shine and the underdogs continued to win. The championship game, was a Access versus CityTV final. If there were bets on what the score would be, we would have all lost! After the first inning, the game was tied, 1-1... After seven full innings, the game was still tied 1-1. In international play team Access was victorious 2-1. Congratulations!
